Description
The most-deployed breakfast in my kitchen. Five ingredients in a jar at night, breakfast in hand in the morning.
Instructions
- Combine oats, chia, oat milk, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt in a pint jar.
- Stir well, seal, and refrigerate at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
- Stir again in the morning. Top with berries.
Notes
- Texture is best on day 1–2; still good on day 3.
- A spoonful of nut butter swirled in is excellent.
Substitutions
- Any milk works. Whole milk gives the creamiest result; almond milk the lightest.
- Honey for maple syrup (not vegan).
Make-ahead
Make up to 3 portions at once on Sunday for the week.
